Eugene Andrach

October 15, 1931 - April 24, 2022

Andrach, Eugene, 90 of Saddle Brook, passed away on April 24, 2022. Born in Peremyshl, Poland on October 15, 1931, he relocated to Germany after World War II in 1946 with his parents, then immigrated to the United States in 1949 when he was 17 years old. Beloved Husband of Mary (Duplak); recently celebrating 61 years of marriage. Devoted father of Darusia and her husband George Oliarnyk and Roman and his wife Roxanne Andrach. Adored Grandfather of Alexa, Andrew, Christian, Brianna, George Jr. and Roman Jr. He is also survived by extended family in Ukraine and Poland. Eugene is also survived by sister-in law Helen Ros and her husband Joseph; sister-in law Marie Duplak; brother in-law Mykola Duplak and his wife Helen; sister in-law Justina Duplak; many nephews and nieces. He was predeceased by his sister Irene Petryk and her husband Bohdan; sister in-law Anna Diduch and her husband Michael; brother in-law Stefan Duplak; and brother in-law Michael Duplak. Eugene worked for Sabin Robins Paper Co. in Edison for twenty-five years before he retired in 1997. He was a proud Ukrainian-American who supported a sovereign and independent Ukraine. He was a member of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church for well over half a century and a member of the Ukrainian Center in Passaic, NJ. When his children were growing up, he was an active member of the Ukrainian American Youth Association in Passaic, NJ, where he served as Treasurer. His warming smile and gentle demeanor will be missed. Eugene enjoyed spending his time with his family and looked forward to celebrating holidays. He had a deep repertoire of Ukrainian Christmas carols he loved to sing with his family. He was proud of his grandchildren’s academic and athletic accomplishments—and an enthusiastic fan of sports. He will be truly missed by family and friends. Funeral from Marrocco Memorial Chapel – 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton on Friday at 9:15 AM then to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church at 10 AM. Interment at St. Andrew’s Cemetery in Bound Brook. Visiting on Thursday from 4 pm to 8 pm. Parastas at 7 pm. In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to United Ukrainian American Relief Committee – www.uuarc.org to help with humanitarian aid to the victims of war in Ukraine.
