Katherine Schmidt

Katherine Schmidt, a resident of Clifton, entered eternal life April 17, 2024 she was 73. Kathy was the daughter of James and Ellen Wallace (Ford) born on November 15, 1950, a "Native New Yorker" Kathy graduated from Cathedral College Prep Catholic High School class of 1968. In 1974 Kathy's family moved from New York City settling in Wayne, New Jersey, were she attended Montclair State College.

Her life was characterized by diligence and integrity. Kathy was a proud member of the NJ Property Owners Association, and dedicated underwriter serving faithfully at Prudential Financial for over 30 years.

After retiring Kathy and her husband Josef moved to Del Ray Beach Florida. Sadly Josef passed away in 2020. Kathy moved back to NJ reentered the workforce and worked for WSKR Company in South Orange as a Bookkeeper.

She is survived by her devoted step-son Joseph Schmidt, her beloved niece Kelly Wallace, dear cousins Maryann Callaghan, Ellen Hayes, Martin Ford, Cathy Schanel and James Murphy. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Josef and cherished brother Michael Wallace.

Funeral from Marrocco Memorial Chapel - 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 9:15 AM followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Clare Church in Clifton at 10 AM. Visiting on Sunday, April 21, 2024 from 3 pm to 6 pm. Interment at Crest Haven Memorial Park.
