Leida Birriel

Leida Birriel of Paterson; surrounded by her family, entered eternal life Saturday, August 24th, she was 70. Leida was born in Arecibo, Puerto Rico on November 1st, 1953, to Jose Birriel and Carmen Lopez. In the mid 1970's Leida moved to Paterson, NJ. She enrolled in The Wilfred Beauty Academy, where she obtained her Cosmetology license and began working for Doris House of Beauty. Leida was a diligent and hard worker. She later worked as the office manager for Party Rentals LTD, where she retired after over ten years of service. Leida is survived by her loving children, Javier and his wife Felicita, Brenda and her husband Tomas, and Brenda Figueroa. She is survived by her cherished grandchildren: Jasmine, Alexis, Grace, Alana, Rebecca, Crystal, Elijah, Joseph, and Ulises; and her great-grandchildren: Mariah, Esmeralda and Kenzo; she is also survived by her sister Araminta. Leida joyfully rejoined her beloved granddaughter, Leilani, at the Heavenly Gates. She was also predeceased by her brother Jose Luis, her brother-in-law Roberto, and her parents Jose and Carmen.
Visitation will be held 6pm-9pm Thursday, August 29th, 2024, Marrocco Memorial Chapel, 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton, NJ. Leida will be laid to rest in East Ridgelawn Cemetery, 255 Main Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07014.
