Alan Purdon

Purdon, Alan T., 82 of Clifton, passed away on December 29, 2021. Beloved husband to Johannah (Dolan) Purdon. Loving father to Kara Purdon-Celeste (Peter Celeste) and Raymond Purdon. Dear brother to Mary Sanford and David Purdon. Devoted grandfather to Jason and Kate Celeste and Abigail, Sara and Ted Purdon. He was a loving uncle and cousin and will be remembered by many extended family and friends. Al was a quiet and gentle soul with a very dry sense of humor. He was always willing to lend a hand to friends and family. Alan was born in Yakima, Washington, lived in Brooklyn, NY, Freehold, NJ and Clifton, NJ for the past six years. He was a Navy veteran of the Vietnam War, graduated from Baruch College and retired from Panasonic after 20 years. He was a long-haul trucker for five years and was an IT Consultant for Donald Cook & Associates in New Brunswick throughout his career.
