Alicia A. Adams (Leciston) passed away on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Alicia is the daughter of Alex and Rose (Kozmoski) Leciston. She was born in Passaic and raised in Clifton, NJ. She spent many summers visiting her grandparents, John and Mary Kozmoski, in Nanticoke, PA. Alicia attended St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic School in Passaic, St Mary’s Villa Academy in Sloatsburg, NY, as well as Queen of Apostles in NY. She had been involved in the Sister Servants of Mary Immaculate community over many years. Alicia held a B.S. in Education from Seton Hall University. She loved educating and interacting with children. She taught at St Brendan’s Catholic School in Clifton, Babyland in Newark, and St Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic School in Passaic, and also operated a private daycare briefly. She also held a variety of office/bookkeeping positions and enjoyed working in New York City during that season of her life. She enjoyed traveling, loved the beach (especially Wildwood), and visited Europe on multiple occasions. Ms. Adams was predeceased by her sister, Elaine Colianni (Leciston), and her nephew Ernest B. Dodd. She is survived by two brothers, Robert Leciston and his wife Mairzy, David Leciston and his wife Debbie, and by her sister, Kathryn Dodd (Leciston), as well as well-loved nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and a great, great-niece.
Alicia Adams will be remembered during Divine Liturgy on Sunday, October 12 at 8:30 am at St Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 217 President Street, Passaic, followed by panachyda (prayer service for the deceased) at the end of the 8:30 am mass.
