Charles G Nisivoccia

Charles G. Nisivoccia, a beloved husband, father, and cherished member of the community, passed away on May 21, 2026, at his 90th birthday, at home in Clifton, New Jersey surrounded by his loving family. Born on May 21, 1936, in Newark, Charles’s life was marked by love, dedication, and service.

Charles was a proud hairdresser and the owner of Salon de Charles, where his artistry and passion for his craft touched the lives of many. His salon was more than a place of business; it was a space where friendships blossomed and confidence was nurtured. Through his talent and warmth, Charles made a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of sitting in his chair.

He was active as a coach in sports and received awards for basketball and baseball. Charles was a member of the Knights of Columbus; He received an expression of grateful appreciation for outstanding participation in the Sunday Mass as usher of the year of St. Philip The Apostle Church. 

His commitment to service extended beyond his career. Charles honorably served in the Army from 1956 to 1958, embodying courage and patriotism during his time in uniform. This chapter of his life reflected the steadfast dedication that defined him.

Family was the cornerstone of Charles’s world. He is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret (Peggy), who he enjoyed spending time with and he loved beyond measure, whose love was a guiding light throughout their life together. Their children—Charles and his wife Rachel, Brian, Sean, Christopher and his wife Margarita, Daryl, Gerard and his wife Theresa, Jonathan, and Maryanne—carry forward his legacy of kindness, resilience, and devotion. Each son and daughter knew the unwavering support and deep love that Charles gave so freely, nurturing a family that will forever hold his memory close. Charles will also be missed by his loving six grandchildren- Dries, Chase, Dylan, Ava, Ariana and Julian. 

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at a visitation on May 28, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Marrocco Memorial Chapel, located at 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07013. This gathering will be a time to remember and celebrate a life beautifully lived—a life that touched so many hearts with its warmth and generosity.

Charles G. Nisivoccia’s journey may have ended, but the stories, love, and spirit he shared continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. His legacy is one of care, commitment, and compassion—a testament to a man who truly made the world brighter by simply being himself.
