Dr. Rudy Robert Kasni, Jr. formerly of New York City and Little Falls Township, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026.
The beloved son of Anne Denistran Kasni and Rudolph Robert Kasni, Sr., he was a devoted and loving brother to Joseph Kasni II and his sister, Janice Kasni.
Dr. Kasni attended Passaic High School and was an undergraduate alumnus of the University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida, where he was a respected Fraternity brother of Sigma Alpha Epsilon, honored as "True Gentleman". He joined the ranks of his esteemed colleagues, graduating as Doctor of Dental Surgery at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, 1972.
Dr. Rudy Kasni proudly served his Country as Captain in the United States Army Dental Corps, 1974-1976, with special service at Fort Sam Houston Burn Center, Texas, with a commitment reflecting his values of integrity and dedication.
A prominent New York City Dental Surgeon, his pursuit of professional excellence was continual throughout his career with post graduate studies at prestigious institutions including Case Western University, Cleveland, Ohio and Montefiore Hospital, New York and advanced studies in Acupuncture.
An athlete since his early school years, Dr. Kasni was a student of martial arts, enjoyed fly fishing, photography, electric guitar and was an avid reader. Most of all, was his love of the family canines. Top Gun Kennels was his pride and joy with his champions of obedience and agility: Bogey, Kato, Aldo, Pete and Jan, preceded in the family by Natasha, his brother Joseph's extraordinary Afghan hound.
Known for his temperament of a Saint, he was gifted with gentle, healing hands. The legacy of Dr. Rudy R. Kasni, Jr. lives on in those lives he touched through his dedication, integrity, compassionate care and pursuit of excellence.
A patriot, loyal friend and loving brother and son, he is predeceased by his father, Rudolph Robert Kasni, Sr., his mother Anne Denistran Kasni and his cherished brother, Joseph Kasni II.
Never compromising their trust or presence for each other, Rudy, Joseph and Janice shared a lifelong cherished friendship grounded in the values of their beloved parents.
Dr. Kasni is survived by several cousins, of note, Dr. Nestor Stychno of Florida and his devoted and forever loving little sister and best friend, Janice.
May his lasting memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to all who knew and loved him.
Everyone liked Rudy.
He leaves this world a far better place.

Visitation will commence at 12 noon, Friday, July 17, 2026, at Marrocco Memorial Chapel, 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton, NJ 07013, proceeding at 1:00 PM to Mass at Our Lady of Holy Angels Roman Catholic Church, Little Falls Township, Officiated by Monsignor T. Mark Condon.
