Capar, Irena (Kokhanevych), 89, of Clifton passed away on August 30, 2015. Beloved wife of the late Antony. Loving mother of Sophia Capar-Kalman of Tucson, AZ & Marta Korduba of Montville. Grandmother of Christina, Mark, Antonia & Adrian. Great Grandmother of Henry, Yuliana & Madeleine.
Mrs. Capar was born in Turady, Ukraine and came to the US in 1949 settling in NYC before moving to Passaic then Garfield and lived the last 35 years in Clifton. She worked for Hoffman La Roche in Clifton for 25 years as a label controller. She was a parishioner of St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church in Passaic and was a member of the church choir & the St. Nicholas Seniors. Mrs. Capar was also a member of the UNWLA.
Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Thursday at 8:45 AM then to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church at 9:30 AM. Interment St. Andrew’s Cemetery So. Bound Brook. Visiting Wednesday 6 to 9 PM. Parastas Wednesday 7:30 PM. Donations can be made to the St. Joseph’s Adult Care Home – 125 Sisters Servants Lane, P.O. Box 8, Sloatsburg, NY 10974-00058.
