Jacinthia Carol Bailey, lovingly known as Carol, was born in Kingston, Jamaica, to the late Cherry May Barclay Bailey and Leary A. Bailey. Raised in Kingston and Spanish Town, she cherished her Jamaican roots and her years at Camperdown High School, where she formed lifelong friendships.
Carol moved to the United States in 1986 and built her life in New Jersey. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fairleigh Dickinson University and devoted her career to caring for others, most recently at Select Specialty Hospital.
Carol loved life. She enjoyed traveling, cruising, reunions, celebrations, and spending time with the friends and family she treasured. Above all, her greatest love was her son, Kyle Lawson, who was truly her heart and her world.
Carol lived for many years with multiple sclerosis and passed away on September 2, 2026.
She leaves to cherish her memory her beloved son, Kyle; her sisters, Junetta Robinson and Jennifer Bailey; Rosemarie, Newell, Barrington, and the late Michael and many loving relatives, classmates, colleagues, and dear friends.
Carol will be remembered for the life she embraced, the people she loved, and the beautiful memories she leaves behind.
