James Allen Kaminsky

Kaminsky, James, 74, of Clifton passed away on Wednesday November 13, 2024 with his loving family by his side. Devoted and loving father of Brett and his wife Sonia C. Finamore Kaminsky of Montville & Jaime and his wife Karen also of Clifton. Adoring Grandfather to his granddaughter Nastassia. Brother of Roy Kaminsky of Hawaii & the late Thomas Kaminsky Jr., Uncle to Jasmine Kaminsky of Seattle, ex-husband to Barbara Kaminsky and Maria Kaiser, boyfriend to Donna Keller, and Honorary Brother to Victor Rossi. He was the son of the late Thomas and Stella Kaminsky.

 Jimmy loved his family dearly and will be missed by all that had the pleasure of meeting and knowing him. No matter the time of day or help you needed he would drop anything and come and help his family and friends. Jimmy was hard-working, dedicated, detailed, funny, had a heart of gold, and was the life of the party. 

 Jimmy was born in Passaic and lived most of his life in Clifton. He was a self-employed carpenter for over 50 years for Kamp Construction and a parishioner of Saint Philip the Apostle Church in Clifton. He was an avid train lover, enjoyed going to train shows, and of course enjoyed collecting trains. Jimmy also enjoyed going to George’s Coffee Shop in Botany Village, and having Brunch with Uncle Pete after Mass. He also enjoyed his friendships and partnerships with Joe the Mason, Mark the Plumber, Vinny the Plumber and countless others.

Although you are currently no longer with us in body your memories and love will be held closely in our hearts for eternity. We know that you are now watching over us, protecting us, and riding the Kaminsky Express in Heaven. 

The family hopes that you can join in celebrating and honoring his life. Funeral arrangements are being taken care of by Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue, Clifton. Visiting hours are Sunday November 17 from 2:00-6:00 PM. Funeral Service Marocco Memorial Chapel on Monday November 18 at 9:00 AM. Followed by a funeral mass at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church 790 Valley Road Clifton at 10:00 AM. Cremation Private.
