John Vatasin

Beloved son, brother, husband, and father John Thomas Vatasin, 56, of Clifton passed away unexpectedly at his home on December 18, 2016. Born Sept.17th 1960 in Queens, NY, John was the eldest son of Evelyn & the late John Vatasin. He grew up in Passaic and lived the last 26 years in Clifton. On Sept. 6th, 1986, John married Mary (Peltyszyn).The couple had 3 children; John, Stephen & Elena. He leaves behind a loving brother Glenn, brother in law Bernie & niece Abby. He was also a loving brother in law, uncle, cousin and friend and will be dearly missed
He was employed at the NJ State Police Alcoholic Beverage Control from 1984 – 1991,NJ Department of Corrections from 1991 – 1993 and as a Supervising Investigator at the Enforcement Bureau, Division of Consumer Affairs in Newark, NJ from 1993 to present.
Funeral from the Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton on Thursday at 9:15 AM followed by a funeral mass at 10 AM at St. Philip the Apostle RC Church 797 Valley Road Clifton. Interment SS. Peter & Paul Cemetery Saddle Brook. Visiting Wednesday 4-8 PM.
