He was a former president and member of the North Haledon Board of Education and a lifetime member of UNICO having been a past president of the North Haledon chapter as well serving as the organization's District Governor. A proud fifty-plus year resident of the Borough of North Haledon he enjoyed serving his community in any way he could. Above all, Joe loved his family and enjoyed spending time with his wife and daughters especially their coveted Italian Sunday dinners.
