Mary Belehaj

Mary Belehaj of Rochelle Park, New Jersey, formerly of Passaic for 54 years, entered eternal life on Thursday, May 15, 2025. She was 77.

Mary is survived by her devoted daughters, Lila Sparandeo and her husband Joseph, and Anastasia Beggs and her husband Corey. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Joseph John, and Michael Anthony, and her sister Anna.  She was predeceased by her husband John Belehaj.

Mary was born on October 22, 1947, in Germany, to Walter and Sophie Salagal.

Mary proudly worked as a cashier at Pathmark in Fair Lawn, NJ for over 50 years. Her job was like a second home to her were she made amazing connections and friendships with her coworkers and customers who were like family to her and she loved everyone so dearly.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, from 4-8 pm at Marrocco Memorial Chapel, 470 Colfax Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013. Parastas will begin at 7 pm.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 20, 9:30 am at St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church, 217 President St, Passaic, NJ 07055. Mary will be laid to rest with her husband, John, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 1 Outwater Lane, Saddle Brook, NJ 07663.
