Orlando Montañez

Orlando Montañez of Paterson, New Jersey, entered eternal life, Thursday, April 17, 2025. He was 60. Orlando was born on May 24, 1964, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Candido and Carmen (LeDuc) Moñtanez. Orlando was a caseworker for the Passaic County Board of Social Services for 22 years. Orlando loved to play basketball and watch his favorite English Premier League team, Liverpool, but his greatest love of all was spending time with his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Denise Montañez (nee. Martinez); his children Aaron Montañez, Jesse Montañez, and Rebekah Montañez-Duarte (husband Jorge Duarte); his mother, Carmen (LeDuc) Moñtanez; siblings Fernando Montañez and wife, Doris, Ileana Mendes (nee. Montañez) and husband, Alex, and Sharon Montañez-Ramos and husband, Melvin; his in-laws Efrain and Lydia Martinez; his brother and sister-in law Frank and Amy Lisa Soto (nee. Martinez); and his many nieces and nephews . Preceding him in death was his father,Candido Montañez. Visiting will be held 10am-12pm, Monday, April 21, 2025, Marrocco Memorial Chapel,470 Colfax Ave, Clifton, NJ 07013. Orlando will be laid to rest in Crest Haven Memorial Park, 750 Passaic Ave, Clifton, NJ 07012, immediately following the service.
