Sister Antonietta Cioce, passed away on September 8, 2016 at Florham Park, New Jersey. She was the beloved daughter of Romualdo and Rosa Cioce.
Antonietta was born on October 13, 1937 in Pianura of Naples, Italy. She traveled to Brazil in 1968 for missionary works.
Because of the need for more Sisters to help the American Mission, in 1982 she traveled to the United States settling in Newark at Perpetual Help Day Nursery School. Here, she served the nursery school children, the poor, and the parish community until 2003. On 2003, she was called to work at Palisades Park, St. Nicholas Church as superior of the community. She also gave Bible class to a group of Italians and assisted and visited the families in the parish.
The visiting will be on Friday, September 16, 2016 from 2-5 PM & 7-9 PM at the Marrocco Memorial Chapel, 470 Colfax Avenue Clifton. Second Visitation will be on Saturday, September 17, 2016 from 9 AM to 11 AM at St. Michael’s RC Church in Newark. The funeral Mass will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday.The Interment will be in Pianura of Naples, Italy.
