Taras Savchuk

Savchuk, Taras of Clifton, passed away on December 3, 2022 at the age of 52. Loving husband to Halyna. Devoted father to his younger daughter Tetyana and older daughter Mariana with her husband Nazar and granddaughter Eveline. Loving son to Vira and the late Volodymyr. Taras is also survived by his two brothers, Myroslav and Serhiy, and his sister, Ruslana and their families.

Taras was born in Terebovlya, Ukraine on June 13, 1970. Most of his life he worked as an accountant for state tax administration. He loved reading books, sports, geography and was always ready to help any person in need.

When Russia occupied Ukraine in 2014, he volunteered to fight for his homeland Ukraine, but because of his health condition was declared unfit for the army. He came to the United States in 2015 with a green card, settling his family in Clifton. He will always be remembered as a dear son, devoted husband, father, and grandfather, and will be missed greatly by all who knew him.

Visitation on December 9 from 7 PM to 9 PM. Parastas at 7 PM. Funeral on Saturday December 10 at 9 AM from Marrocco Memorial Chapel 470 Colfax Ave. Clifton, NJ, then to St. Nicholas Ukrainian Catholic Church 217 President St. Passaic, NJ at 10 AM. Interment East Ridgelawn Cemetery.
