In Loving Memory of Wlodzimierz (Walter) Tkacz.
It is with deep sorrow that we share the passing of Walter Tkacz, age 81, of Pequannock, New Jersey. He passed away peacefully on Sunday morning, surrounded by his loving and devoted family.
Born on August 20, 1944, in Olchowa, Poland, Walter was the beloved son of Andrzej and Maria Tkacz, and the youngest of 14 siblings.
Walter fell in love with and married Maria Kuzemczak on January 26, 1967, in Darlowo, Poland. He immigrated to the United States, and together they settled in Clifton, New Jersey to begin their family.
Walter was devoted to his career, working for the Servometer Corp. in Cedar Grove for 58 years, from December 8, 1967, until just several weeks ago. He served as the Machine Shop Supervisor and was deeply respected and loved by the entire staff.
A loving father and grandfather, Walter instilled in his family the values of kindness, hard work, and integrity. He cherished spending time with his loved ones, especially during family trips to the Jersey shore, Miami Beach, and Cape Cod. At home, Walter took great pride in tending to his backyard and patio, where he found peace in nature and joy in watching the animals that visited his yard.
Walter is survived by his loving children: Dorothy Padko (Orest Padko) of Pequannock, New Jersey, and Jaroslaw Tkacz (Douglas Gifford) of Boston, Massachusetts; his cherished grandchildren: Lauren Padko and Holly Padko of Pequannock, New Jersey; and many nieces and nephews.
